Subject: DAOS in a VMware Environment
Feedback Type: Question
Product Area: DAOS
Technical Area: Functionality
Platform: Windows 2003 server
Release: 8.5
Reproducible: Not applicable

Hello,
I've been led to understand that since DAOS requires transaction logging to be enabled this would preclude utilising DAOS when Domino is running as a VM.
I believe that the transaction logs must be located on local storage, but in a VMware environment all the storage is on the SAN, hence DAOS wouldn't be supported in a VMware environment.
Can anybody clarify this and also is there anyone running DAOS on a Domino server running on VMware ESX?
